So why hasn't Carmella gone after the 24/7 Championship herself?
#2 WWE doesn't want men to be shown pinning women

Yes, I know that intergender wrestling is really making waves outside WWE right now. Tessa Blanchard and Sami Callihan put on a clinic at Slammiversary, and the whole world is raving about their clash at the moment. However, WWE is still a family run business as well as a publicly-traded company and likes to play it safe.
If you noticed how Alundra Blayze lost her Championship at RAW Reunion, she wasn't pinned by the Million Dollar Man. Instead, he bought the title with wads of cash. Basically WWE wouldn't want the visual of a man pinning a woman, doing the rounds.
And this is precisely why they won't want Carmella to become Champion yet because there's a multitude of men who are in the title hunt right now. It also makes sense that R-Truth would come after the Championship, necessitating a physical clash between the two.
