#1 A loss for either man is bad

Randy Orton and Jeff Hardy are two of the most loved and most established stars in the WWE today. They have dedicated their entire careers for the fans and gone to great heights to entertain them.

The two men had one of the best feuds this year which should have ended with Randy Orton’s victory at Hell in a Cell. After an extremely physical match, we saw Randy Orton get what he wanted, which was to put an end to one of the fan favorites Jeff Hardy.

On October 23, SmackDown once again saw the two men collide for no reason whatsoever. Jeff Hardy could have taken on The Miz, and Randy Orton could have faced Rey Mysterio if the company wanted to build hype around Crown Jewel.

Because of this decision, we watched Jeff Hardy get tortured again in the same style Orton had been doing weeks ago, and then beat the Charismatic Enigma which lowers his value going into the World Cup.

Even if Hardy would have beaten Orton in this particular bout, Orton’s win at Hell in a Cell would have been rendered meaningless going forward.

Therefore, it is notable that a loss for either man during their matches is bad for their reputation at the moment. While winning and losing is a part of the WWE, keeping the same stars going at it with the same result or after decisive matches is somewhat questionable.
