#1 WWE will not want to create controversy around Crown Jewel
WWE faced massive criticism in 2018 when they partnered with the General Sports Authority of Saudi Arabia, for hosting two shows per year for the next 10 years. Last year’s Crown Jewel was controversial because WWE decided to host the show despite major pressure from American media and fans.
Even though this year’s show isn’t that controversial, WWE could hurt itself by making a mistake at the event. They have done a great job in creating the hype for Brock Lesnar vs Cain Velasquez and if this match disappoints the fans, this could hurt the overall picture.
A 'schmoz finish' will give an opportunity to media sites to raise hands at WWE and Crown Jewel, and this could be something Vince McMahon will never want to happen, especially when it’s about a Saudi Arabia pay-per-view. They have already make sure the fans will not be handed an upset during the Seth Rollins vs Bray Wyatt by making it a Falls Count Anywhere match that can’t be stopped for any reason.
Similarly, its unlikely that the Lesnar v Velasquez clash will produce any upsets or disappointsments.
