However, WWE has started portraying him again as the same old "Lunatic Fringe" who was a vital part of the Shield. As a matter of fact, after losing a match to Drew McIntyre, this week on Raw, Ambrose asked Rollins why he did not show up, teasing a potential alignment in due process.
Thus, it seems the creative is pushing Ambrose as the Lunatic who does not give a damn and goes on doing things in his own unique and badass manner. And arguably, by teasing a potential alignment of the two former members of The Shield, WWE might have taken the first step towards a potential Shield reunion.
Given WWE teased a potential reunion of Rollins and Ambrose, and with Roman Reigns expected to return very soon, there is a high possibility that we could be in for a potential reunion of The Shield.
