Drew McIntyre has been a part of the main roster for some time now but was majorly involved in secondary feuds on the show. He worked with Dolph Ziggler and other superstars on Raw but was never considered a major player until Brock Lesnar started showing up even less since winning the Universal Championship at WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.

As unexpected as the decision sounded to all, the fact that he was able to win the title and then go on a break until he shows up at Royal Rumble, the company was able to push Drew McIntyre as the next big thing in the company, and help Braun Strowman rise to greater heights. This also gave us compelling segments with the acting general manager, and we were able to see a heelish Baron Corbin who is possibly going to lose the match at WWE TLC.
