Jade Cargill was assaulted backstage on SmackDown last week and was ruled out indefinitely after WWE announced that she had sustained multiple injuries. However, this might not be the case, as a report from PWInsider suggested that her injury was a storyline and she was healthy and good to go.

Following the backstage assault, WWE removed her from the Women's WarGames Match at Survivor Series this Saturday, while it is unclear if Bianca Belair will be forced to vacate the Women's Tag Team Title or if WWE will find a replacement for Cargill.

With that in mind, we take a look at three reasons why WWE removed Jade Cargill from the Women's WarGames Match at Survivor Series, even though she is not dealing with a legit injury.

#3. It could add more hype to the Women's WarGames Match

The top female stars are expected to compete at WarGames, with the rivalry between Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan being the top storyline. The backstage assault on Jade Cargill could create more hype and make things more personal heading into Saturday's match.

As there is no confirmation on who was the mastermind behind the assault, it could make things personal between the two teams, as Team Ripley will seek revenge, assuming that members of Team Morgan were behind the assault.

#2. Naomi could have a heel turn and reveal she was behind Jade Cargill's assault

Naomi has been best friends with Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill on screen, and there was speculation that she would step up and come to the aid of Bianca Belair, allowing her to retain the Women's Tag Team Title.

The two will be teammates on Saturday, but with Jade Cargill out, Naomi could have a heel turn during the match and walk out on The EST of WWE, eventually revealing that she was behind the assault.

Should this be the case, Bianca is expected to go after her in search of revenge, which could set the stage for a feud with Jade Cargill once the former AEW star is back from her injury.

#1. WWE wrote Jade Cargill off to allow Bayley to enter the WarGames Match

Bayley was not part of the Women's WarGames Match and the expectation was that she would miss Survivor Series. With her doing a great job as a face on SmackDown, WWE likely searched for a way to allow her to enter the match.

Thus, writing Cargill off appeared to be the best option, not only because it opened the way for new storylines for the former Women's Tag Team Champion, but because it let The Role Model join Team Ripley.

As a result, Bayley will now have the chance to reunite with her former friend and Damage CTRL leader IYO SKY, whom she defeated at WrestleMania 40 to become the Women's Champion.

In addition, it allows her to continue her feud with Nia Jax, who beat her twice for the title over the past few months at SummerSlam and Bad Blood, respectively.

As a matter of fact, Nia Jax would be out for revenge now, after an interference from Bayley cost her the victory and the WarGames advantage in her match against Bianca Belair last Monday on RAW.
