Omos hasn't been seen on WWE television for a few months now, and there are no signs of him returning anytime soon. There might be a few reasons why the Stamford-based promotion has decided to not use The Nigerian Giant.

Omos joined WWE in January 2019 and debuted on the main roster in 2020 as a partner of Akira Tozawa. He later became AJ Styles' tag team partner, with the duo winning the RAW Tag Team Championship. Two years after his main roster debut, he began being managed by MVP. However, The Nigerian Giant could not make his presence felt even with the former United States Champion by his side. As of this writing, his last television appearance was on the April 5, 2024, episode of SmackDown where he participated in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Let's look at three reasons why WWE isn't using Omos:

#3. Lack of superstars for him to feud with

One of the main characteristics of Omos that makes him unique from other stars is his height, which is billed at 7'3". While his height makes him some sort of an attraction and easily identifiable, this also narrows down the list of opponents he can realistically feud with.

As The Nigerian Giant, it's only fitting that he feuds with fellow behemoths to make a convincing and realistic clash, but the tallest star next to him is Erick Rowan, who has a significant gap and is only 6'8". The former tag team champion feuding with somebody "less" than him in height and losing can diminish his credibility as a dominant giant.

#2. WWE may not see Omos as a top guy

The Nigerian Giant may be a physically dominating presence, but there are still some areas in which he lacks. Due to his height, he can't be as agile compared to others and he has limited moves.

The former champion may have shared the ring with stars like Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins, and AJ Styles, but his character still hasn't taken off. Due to this, WWE may be seeing it as some sort of sign that fans aren't eager to see him on television.

#1. MVP's exit may have put Omos in a limbo

In August this year, MVP left WWE after his contract expired and in turn, ended his two-year alliance with The Nigerian Giant. Although both men haven't been on television for months at this point, it still surely left a mark.

MVP's departure will surely have had deep effects on Omos' personal and professional life. Both men worked closely for two years and their WWE characters were anchored to one another. Now that the veteran has left the promotion, WWE will surely be looking at other options to reintroduce the star to fans' TV screens.
