Brock Lesnar's status with WWE is precarious at present after he was seemingly referred to in the Janel Grant lawsuit filed earlier this year. The Beast Incarnate may not have been completely erased from the company's history, but his name has certainly been avoided being used on television programming.
Fans expected to see Brock Lesnar return at the Royal Rumble, earlier this year, after making his last appearance at SummerSlam 2023. However, his comeback may have been halted after a lawsuit was filed by former WWE employee, Janel Grant, against Vince McMahon.
Triple H has since stated that The Beast was still in the company and was just spending some time away. However, other reports have stated that WWE's legal team felt it wasn't good to have The Beast back on television already.
Due to the time the former champion spent in the company, not to mention the legacy he's already left behind, which has seen him accumulate various records and accomplishments that will be affected if his name ever had to be erased from the promotion's history.
For this list, we will look at three records WWE has to ignore if they can't namedrop Brock Lesnar again.
#3. Brock Lesnar broke The Undertaker's WrestleMania streak
In the wrestling world, championships and trophies mark a person's accomplishments. However, The Undertaker's greatest accomplishment cannot be measured in gold, even if he had several during his time, but it is the undefeated 21 WrestleMania streak.
At WrestleMania XXX in 2014, Brock Lesnar became the person that finally ended The Phenom's previously undefeated streak of 21 WrestleMania matches. Although The Beast broke 'Taker's undefeated run, he wasn't the only person to defeat The Deadman at The Show of Shows as Roman Reigns also did it three years later.
#2. Youngest WWE Champion in history
Winning a WWE Championship is already a tough challenge to achieve in the company, but doing so at a young age doubles the pressure. However, this seemed not to be a problem for Brock, who did it five months after debuting.
At SummerSlam 2002, Brock became the youngest WWE Champion at the age of 25. What's more impressive is that Lesnar defeated none other than The Rock to win his first title. For those wondering about Randy Orton's record, The Viper won the World Heavyweight Championship at the age of 24.
#1. Fastest WWE Championship win
Brock may not have the longest WWE Championship reign or close to breaking Ric Flair's 16-time world championship record, but Lesnar holds a special one. However, this is something that most fans aren't the happiest about.
On SmackDown's first episode on FOX, on October 4, 2019, Brock defeated Kofi Kingston after only seven seconds to become the new WWE Champion. The superstar who previously held this accolade was Diesel when he defeated Bob Backlund in 1994 in only eight seconds.
