3 shockers WWE could be planning for Monday Night Raw (4 March, 2019)

The road to WrestleMania officially began with the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch won their respective Rumble matches and then went on to challenge the champion of their choices.

The WWE fired on all the cylinders after the Elimination Chamber PPV. Monday Night Raw has seen a surge in the show quality which resulted in increased TV ratings.

The biggest news coming out of last week's episode was the return of the Big Dog, Roman Reigns and the animal, Batis ta.

In another shock of the night, Ronda Rousey relinquished her Raw Women's championship.

With all the drama that went down, what will the WWE be planning for this week's episode of Monday Night Raw? Let's take a look at the 3 biggest shockers WWE could be planning for the show.

#3: Batista attacks Vince McMahon

The animal, Batista, made a shocking return to the WWE Raw last week when he took down Ric Flair. The Animal attacked Ric Flair during an ongoing celebration for Ric's 70th birthday to send a message to Triple H.

The match caught everybody's attention when Batista, along with the Evolution stable made his return to Smackdown 1000 episode. The group addressed the crowd about their accolades and accomplishments, and put each other over. However, that moment was short-lived as Batista targeted Triple H. He took a shot at Hunter for never being able to beat him in a one-on-one contest.

Rumours began circulating about a potential match-up between the two legends, but the match was put in jeopardy when Triple H got injured during a match at Crown Jewel. The "King of Kings" tore his pectoral muscle in a match where he teamed up with his buddy, Shawn Michaels to take on Kane and The Undertaker in a tag team match where they eventually overcame the duo.

Triple underwent surgery several days later. It was thought that the timetable for his return would be around 9 months and will see him miss WrestleMania 35 but last week's show indicates that he is ready to compete and we will see both guys compete at WrestleMania.

But that will only happen if Triple H agrees to face Batista at the Grandest Stage of them All and to make that happen, we may see the Animal taking down the Boss Man to force the Cerebral Assassin.

#2: Aleister Black challenges Finn Balor for the Intercontinental Championship and wins.

A few weeks ago, the Chief Executive Officer of the WWE, Triple H announced that the Elite four of the NXT, Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, Aleister Black and Richochet will be making their main roster debut.

Richochet teamed with Finn Balor in a match against Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush while Gargano and Ciampa took down the Raw tag-team champions. Aleister Black was also featured in an important match as he defeated Elias in his debut match.

Although Balor defended his Intercontinental championship last week on Raw, the WWE needs to book more prominent feuds to make the title feels more important and what better way to do that than giving Aleister Black the shot at the championship?

Both superstars are very capable in the ring and a program between the two before going into the Grandest Stage of Them All could be what the WWE needs at the moment.

#1: Vince McMahon crowns Charlotte Flair as the new Raw Women's Champion

Becky Lynch chose Ronda Rousey to be her dance partner at WrestleMania for the Raw Women's championship after winning the 2019 Royal Rumble PPV.

Since then, she has suffered a lot of consequences for creating chaos here and there. The WWE chairman, Vince McMahon suspended Lynch for sixty days that will cause her to miss WrestleMania 35, and replaced her with Charlotte Flair.

He may have suspended Lynch, but that didn't stop her from ruining the weekly WWE programming. Whether it's the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view or an episode of Monday Night Raw or Smackdown Live, She has been hell-bent on destroying both Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey.

Last week, a livid Ronda Rousey demanded Lynch be added to the WrestleMania match, but got her request denied which led to her relinquishing the Women's championship.

Since Charlotte Flair is a storyline favourite of Vince McMahon, I won't be surprised if he crowns her the new Women's Champion on this week's Raw.

If this indeed ends up happening, it will create a lot of buzzes and be a major talking point heading into WrestleMania.
