Following some blockbuster episodes of Smackdown Live in the last few weeks, the Blue Brand is anticipated to deliver another mind-boggling episode this week.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Kofi Kingston officially became the No.1 contender for the WWE Championship while the appalling moment of last week was when Charlotte Flair defeated Asuka to win the Smackdown Women's Title.
The upcoming Smackdown Live will be held at the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, MD. WWE already announced an official contract signing between Kofi Kingston and Daniel Bryan this week.
Randy Orton and AJ Styles will appear on the Kevin Owens Show. Moreover, Andrade is set to face the US Title Challenger Rey Mysterio.
Here we discuss three shockers WWE could be planning on Smackdown Live this week.
#3 The US Title match could become a triple threat match
The US Championship match is already confirmed as Samoa Joe will defend the belt against Rey Mysterio at the Grandest Stage of Them All.
As a matter of fact, Mysterio never earned the right to face the current United States Champion, and he announced himself as the challenger of Joe a couple of weeks ago.
Considering Rey Mysterio and Andrade will clash on Smackdown Live this week, we might see the last minute change in this storyline.
Andrade has been part of the US Championship for a long time. The former NXT Champion was part of the Fatal-4 way match when Joe grabbed the belt. Hence, he is undoubtedly a deserving candidate to get a title shot at the Showcase of Immortals.
Andrade might add a stipulation on Smackdown Live when he will face Rey Mysterio. Andrade could become part of the US Championship match if he manages to pin Rey Mysterio this week. Considering Andrade's proficiency in the squared circle, he could be a great addition in this match.
#2 The New Day could challenge The Usos at WrestleMania 35
The New Day was the focal point of Smackdown Live last week as Big E and Xavier Woods competed in a tag team Gauntlet match.
The two members of New Day helped Kofi Kingston to obtain his dream as the latter will headline WrestleMania next month. Considering their impressive performance in the tag team Gauntlet match, they could be set for a tag team match in New Jersey.
The New Day overpowered five teams in the Gauntlet match. In fact, the current Smackdown Tag Team Champions The Usos were the part of the tag team Gauntlet match, but the twin brothers forfeited the match.
It suggests that Vince McMahon's billion dollar company could be planning a match between the two teams at the Show of Shows. Moreover, the New Day overcame an insurmountable task last week, and they are deserving of getting a title shot at the Show of Shows.
#1 Vince McMahon could become the special guest referee of the WWE World Championship match
It is no secret that Kofi Kingston will headline WrestleMania and he toiled hard to earn a title shot. Vince McMahon has been punishing the New Day member for months, and the latter could find another way to swindle Kingston. The Chairman could announce himself as the guest referee for the bout at the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Mr.McMahon has a long history as a guest referee. Since he has been a prominent heel of his own company, the Chairman's special appearances as a guest referee helped to put over some Superstars.
The Chairman appeared as a special referee in the bouts of Stone Cold Steve Austin and Roman Reigns.
An official signing is set to take place on SmackDown Live as Kofi Kingston, and Daniel Bryan will sign papers for their WrestleMania bout. Interestingly, the two men also had a contract signing for the most coveted prize of the Blue Brand before Fastlane, but Vince McMahon replaced Kofi Kingston with Kevin Owens.
We might not see the same scenario this week, but Mr.McMahon could surprise everyone by declaring himself as the guest referee of the match at the Showcase of Immortals.
