Brock Lesnar is one of the biggest stars in professional wrestling. It has been over a year since we last saw The Beast Incarnate on WWE television. His last in-ring appearance came against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2023. After The American Nightmare managed to defeat the former UFC Champion, Lesnar broke his character in a rare moment, raising the latter’s hand in a passing-of-the-torch moment, which was unplanned.
However, fans and analysts have been pitching multiple scenarios and possibilities that could ultimately lead to the return of The Beast Incarnate. In this article, we are going to look at three points that indicate he might never come back to WWE, despite a recent tease.
#3. Goldberg may have replaced Brock Lesnar against Gunther
Last year, before Brock Lesnar was alluded to in Janel Grant’s lawsuit against Vince McMahon, the Stamford-based promotion had major plans for Gunther vs. Brock Lesnar. Reportedly, they wanted to book the match between these two powerhouses at WrestleMania 40. Now, it seems like the Triple H-led creative has given up on this match, and Goldberg has been brought in to replace The Beast Incarnate as a big-name rival for The Ring General.
Goldberg returned to WWE after almost two and a half years at Bad Blood 2024, and he even had a heated confrontation with Gunther, who disrespected and humiliated him in front of his wife and son. Towards the end of the segment, the former Universal Champion said, “You're next, boy,” apparently issuing a warning to The Ring General.
#2. Brock Lesnar had a better relationship with Vince McMahon
The Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar, was a big-time Vince McMahon guy. In a past interview with Pat McAfee, he shared that he had a father-son relationship with McMahon and that he learned a lot from the ex-chairman of the Stamford-based promotion. Reportedly, the former UFC Champion briefly walked out after hearing about Vince’s retirement.
However, that indicates Brock Lesnar had a better relationship with Vince McMahon than he has with anyone working in WWE now. This might also affect his comeback.
#1. WWE does not need Brock Lesnar anymore
Wrestling veteran Eric Bischoff questioned Brock Lesnar's intentions to return to WWE ever again. While discussing the same on his 83 Weeks podcast, the Hall of Famer said that The Beast Incarnate has already earned loads of money from his incredible career in professional wrestling and his other business ventures and might not feel the hunger to go back again inside the squared circle.
On the other hand, even the Stamford-based company would not want Brock Lesnar at the moment. They are already stacked with a lot of legends and major superstars on the roster, from Roman Reigns, The Rock, Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and John Cena returning next year. With so many big names already available, World Wrestling Entertainment might not be able to make major plans for the former UFC Champion.
