There's likely a reason why Roman Reigns got back to the ring so quickly after his remission. This isn't to say that he wasn't ready, because if anything, the match only proved that he was more than ready.
Either way, WWE could have easily taken the route of Reigns returning at WrestleMania and hype up his big comeback as the first match since the tragic announcement last October. Either way, WWE chose to have Reigns go right back into action, wasting little to not time.
Naturally, this was the only way they could have done the final Shield reunion, and in a way, it's completely understandable why it main evented Fastlane despite having little to no real stakes or WrestleMania implications.
Moreover, Reigns was able to be seen as the "voice of reason" in the group, and the only one who could unite Rollins and Ambrose again.
