WWE had other plans though. When Angle announced Baron Corbin as his opponent at 'Mania, the fans weren't thrilled one bit.
Baron Corbin has consistently been one of the most hated guys on the Raw roster, and not in a way WWE expects the fans to react to him. They genuinely loathe the character and simply don't want to see him on-screen. This didn't stop WWE from confirming the match at 'Mania. Even Angle's wife voiced her displeasure about this announcement, but deleted the tweet and posted an update moments later.

Baron Corbin will be Angle's opponent in his final match, and there's nothing the fans can do to stop this travesty from happening.

Given the opportunity to script WWE’s next big storyline, Abhilash would treat fans to the second installment of The Bloodline Civil War. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
