3 Storyline WWE couples that became real over time

Over the past few years, we have seen multiple romantic storylines in WWE. These storylines were created to entertain the fans.

However, sometimes storylines can become real too. There have been some wrestlers who (in real) got into a relationship with another fellow wrestler during their on-screen romance.

But, not every relationship in WWE starts with a storyline; some wrestlers were able to do it without being in a storyline. Though, some of them just weren't meant to last.

Let's take a look at 3 fake WWE couples who later became real-life couples.

#3 Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella

The new Daniel Bryan may not be the best thing in the WWE right now, but he is everything to his wife, Brie Bella.

In 2010, the WWE aligned The Bella Twins with Bryan in what seems like to be one of the worst storylines of his career. The ladies set a backstage bet to see who can sleep with the current WWE Champion first.

Later, it was revealed that Bryan doesn't want to be with any of them as he was already with Gail Kim at the time. The company then dropped this storyline. But we can't neglect the fact that it's still a part of Daniel Bryan's time in the WWE that he'd gladly like to forget.

Though the storyline didn't work well for any of the Superstars, this helped in starting the relationship. They are now both happily married and have a daughter, Birdie Joe Danielson.

#2 CM Punk and AJ Lee

CM Punk and AJ Lee

CM Punk and AJ Lee’s relationship is known to the WWE Universe. The WWE first made them an on-screen couple on TV in 2012. Before starting a relationship with Punk, Lee was in a storyline involving Daniel Bryan. However, the latter never confessed his love for Lee, and this is why she later turned her affections to his then rival, CM Punk.

This was probably a complicated storyline for the WWE Universe as the fans didn’t really understand what was happening in the storyline. After being an onscreen pair, Lee and Punk started dating and got married in 2014.

A lot of fans already know about their marriage as it was the day when CM Punk was fired from WWE.

#1 Triple H and Stephanie McMahon

The best couple!

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon have been married for over 15 years now. They are one of the best couples in WWE. Before getting married to Stephanie McMahon, they were in a storyline that was quite absurd, to say the least.

Stephanie began a relationship with fellow wrestler Test and even got engaged to him (not in reality). But during their wedding ceremony, Triple H revealed that he had kidnapped Stephanie and also drugged her into wedlock. This was shocking to the fans but what happened after that was quite entertaining.

Stephanie went on to reveal that she did this as part of her plan to get revenge on her father Vince McMahon. In real life, they started dating in the 2000s but had broken up on screen.

After dating for a few years, the couple got married in 2003. The couple have three daughters together. The duo is still together, now running things behind the scenes in the WWE.
