#2 WWE storyline that should end at the Royal Rumble event: Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens
Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens have found themselves at odds for quite a lot of time now and are about to face each other at Royal Rumble. The two fought against each other at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs, in a very hard-hitting matchup.
In the end, thanks to the support of Jey Uso, Roman Reigns was able to get the win, retain the Universal title, and continue his dominant performance. However, that was not enough.
The two continued to feud over the next few weeks, and just when it appeared that Kevin Owens had given up on beating Roman Reigns, Adam Pearce pulled a miracle out of his hat. The WWE official was supposed to face Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble event, after having qualified in the gauntlet match.
On the day of the contract signing, however, he cited his injured knee and introduced Roman Reigns to his actual Royal Rumble opponent — Kevin Owens.
While Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns are both excellent at what they do, hopefully, Royal Rumble will be the last time the two face each other for a while, as the feud is just starting to get a little stale.
