Not only is that evident by the polarizing reaction the segment between the two received last week on SmackDown, but also by the potential this storyline has going forward.

Another great thing about this matchup is the fact that Daniel Bryan is just coming off of a babyface turn, which will make it harder for fans to boo him even when he is pitted against The Fiend. Beyond that, facing a multiple time WWE Champion will be a great test for The Fiend and will really help cement him as WWE's top guy on SmackDown.

Of course, how WWE executes the mind games going forward will be key to keeping this feud interesting, but the company has proven they are capable of doing this successfully on multiple occasions.
