Goldberg has had an illustrious career in WWE and the world of wrestling, which has almost come to an end now. It has been two years since the Hall of Famer competed in a match, and even though he has revealed that he has one more match left before he retires, it is unclear if and when it will happen.
While speaking with Busted Open Radio, Goldberg talked about his desire to wrestle one last time, no matter if it is in WWE or any other wrestling promotion.
"I would absolutely love to have that final match. I would. Am I good not having it? Yeah, I’m fine with it. But it’d be neat to have one. It wouldn’t have to be with anyone. I could do it myself and accomplish what I wanted to accomplish, right? I could do the promotion myself. Overseas, do it in Israel, do it in India, do it somewhere, do it in Japan." In our previous article, we talked about three superstars that the WWE Hall of Famer will not face in his potential final match. In this article, we take a look at three superstars that Goldberg should face in his final match.
A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
#3. AJ Styles
AJ Styles has had an iconic career in the wrestling business and has admitted that he is getting closer to retirement. Currently a heel, he has returned to the title picture lately, having faced Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship twice over the past six weeks.
He could be an ideal candidate to face Goldberg in the latter's retirement match, and it would make sense for WWE to add a stipulation that The Phenomenal One's career would be on the line.
#2. Cody Rhodes
Every time Goldberg returned to WWE, his short stint included feuds with then-champions Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. The WWE Hall of Famer could emerge as a contender to Rhodes' Undisputed WWE Championship, and a match could take place in one of the coming Premium Live Events.
With that in mind, challenging for the title one more time would be the perfect ending for the veteran's career. As for Cody Rhodes, there have not been many superstars ready to step up at the moment, so until Roman Reigns and The Rock are back, a short-term feud with the WWE Hall of Famer would make sense for The American Nightmare.
#1. Goldberg should face Seth Rollins
The Visionary made his return during the latest episode of RAW after staying out for two months to recover from his injuries. He immediately took a title shot, as he will face the World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest at Money in the Bank, aiming to reclaim the title he lost at WrestleMania 40.
Seth Rollins has accomplished everything in his career and is now looking for new challenges. He has been linked to future feuds with Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes, but until these happen, having a match against Goldberg and retiring him would be another accomplishment to The Architect's illustrious career.
