There are many who believe one reason WWE is thriving is that it has many young superstars who can carry the company on their backs for years to come. However, it must also be noted that some superstars in the Stamford-based promotion are close to retirement, and they are not being used currently.
While these superstars were once big names, as of this writing, there seems to be no trace of them in the promotion. However, since these superstars who are close to retirement have contributed so much to the success of the wrestling company, they deserve to have one final run before hanging up their boots.
In this article, we will take a look at three such superstars who should have a final run in WWE before they hang their boots:

#3. Tamina deserves a final run in WWE
From debuting on the main roster with The Usos to becoming tag team champion along with Natalya, Tamina has achieved a lot in her WWE career. However, as of now, she is away from WWE programming. In fact, her last appearance for the promotion came at the Women's Royal Rumble match in 2023.
It's worth noting that Tamina's absence from the squared circle isn't due to an injury but supposedly due to a lack of creative plans for her. But, since she is 46-years-old and nearing the end of her career, it's important for her to have a final run in the promotion so that she can end her career on a high note.
#2. Big E
Since 2022, Big E has not wrestled on WWE programming after he suffered a neck injury during a tag team match on SmackDown. While many believed they would not see Big E back on television, he fought all odds to comeback as he appeared on Monday Night RAW to celebrate with The New Day.
On December 2, 2024, The New Day celebrated its tenth anniversary, and Big E made an appearance after two years to celebrate the same. He also offered Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods to be their manager, but they rejected him. This story has now set up the perfect comeback for Big E before he retires.
#1. Brock Lesnar
Brock Lesnar is one of the biggest names who is away from action currently. Lesnar's last appearance for the promotion was at SummerSlam 2023 in which he lost to current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. While it was rumored Lesnar will return in 2024, the same did not happen even as the year ends in a few days time.
However, The Beast Incarnate must return to the Stamford-based promotion in 2025. At 47, Lesnar is quite possibly reaching the end of his professional wrestling career, and before he calls it quits, he deserves to have one big run due to his contributions to professional wrestling in general.
