Well, 2018 has kicked off in fascinating style with a monumental reception to the Royal Rumble and since we are heading to celebrate the biggest show of the year, the expectations of the fans will continue to increase leading them to speculate sensational returns and highly anticipated debuts. It seems that the WWE is on the right track in 2018 and might bring some of the most deserving performers to the squared circle.
Here are the 3 superstars who should make a sensational return/debut in 2018
#3 Neville
There's no denying that very few people can do what this talented performer can do between the ropes and, it's a damn shame that he didn't get his due for elevating the Cruiserweight division to new heights. He certainly deserved a World title shot considering his heel-work within was his best in years and was a huge boost to his character development. He decided to leave due to the lack of opportunities he was presented despite being the most versatile performer on 205 Live and, has not returned since then.
Many fans speculated him to return for Royal Rumble but, the rumor has it that WWE are not on good terms with him. However, if there's a momentous time for the company to pull the trigger on this man, then it is now. A possible draft to SmackDown Live could create more opportunities for the King and, could lead him to his dream of becoming a World Champion. He would not only add star power to the blue brand but will also bring a lot of exciting agility between the ropes that could make him a top guy in the WWE.
#2 Batista
There's a lot of speculation regarding this man's future with some critics believing that 'The Animal' will make his highly anticipated return to the WWE. Well, Dave returned to the company in 2014 at an unfortunate time and was supposed to take the spotlight away from the hottest star at that moment, Daniel Bryan which led to the demise of his popularity. His Royal Rumble victory was one of the worst in history and did more harm to him than any other superstar which got compounded with a sensational loss to Daniel Bryan at the Grandest Stage of them All.
The reason why this return is so anticipated is that Dave has openly stated on multiple occasions on his love for professional wrestling and has not ruled out a full-time return to the WWE. The company must definitely bring back Batista considering that he still has a lot to give to the business and could head into blockbuster feuds with Brock Lesnar, Samoa Joe & AJ Styles to say the least. Let's hope that it happens sooner rather than later.
#1 CM Punk
We all know the unfortunate relations between WWE & CM punk and, without tapping into those controversial arguments, we have to conclude that both of them need each other. There's no denying that the company can run without Punk but, the fact that he still has a lot to achieve in the WWE makes this deal worth the wait. 'The Cult of Personality' has transcended generations with his awe-inspiring personality and terrific character reinventions.
This man is still working as a UFC fighter and will get his second shot soon but if there's something that he is very good at and can excel in, is wrestling and it is about time that he returns back to the place where he truly belongs. Imagine the possibilities and rivalries that could happen if he returns and moreover, could go on to become the biggest star in the history of this business.
