3 Superstars who could potentially interfere in the Brock Lesnar vs. Rey Mysterio No Holds Barred match at WWE Survivor Series 2019

WWE has had a bit of a struggle producing compelling rivalries right through this decade. Looking back, we'd recall the 2010s for a lot of hits and misses. To WWE's credit, it's a tough job to create storylines relevant to such a diverse audience. Moreover, the present era has come with all sorts of restrictions, and the task of producing an insane amount of weekly TV.

Some rivalries still click with everyone, almost. And, Brock Lesnar and Rey Mysterio's enmity has been one of those tales. These two men have carved out an intense rivalry. Mysterio, who has wrestled successfully as the smallest big man against much bigger men in WWE, has proved his worth again standing up to the beast himself.

Starting with Lesnar's relentless attack on Mysterio, and his son Dominic, this feud has been personal. It has brilliantly showcased Mysterio's will to fight for his family and to take Lesnar down. It's been simple and strong storytelling.

Still, it will not be surprising if Lesnar proves to be too much for Mysterio at Survivor Series. It'd also make sense for WWE to book somebody to interfere in this No Holds Barred match.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

In this article, we present the top 3 superstars who could interfere in Rey Mysterio's match against Brock Lesnar.

#3 Cain Velasquez

Will they go at each other again?
Will they go at each other again?

The former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez made his WWE debut against Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel 2019. It was an easy to book story since the two MMA legends had a history between them. The contest also had a big match feel about it. However, Lesnar knocked off Velasquez in 88 seconds. Just like that!

Over the years, we have learned that Brock Lesnar has a love affair with short matches bettered only by Goldberg's romance with flash-bouts. Still, Velazquez's presentation in his first match was bamboozling, and the only way it now makes sense is as the start of a story rather than a finish.

If this Survivor Series angle cannot end without interference, Mysterio's friend and Lesnar's nemesis is the simplest option to fill the shoes effectively.

There's another intriguing possibility that we have discussed here on SportsKeeda of Velasquez appearing to betray his friend, Mysterio. However it happens, you shouldn't be surprised if Cain Velasquez makes an appearance at Survivor Series.

#2 The Fiend

Fiend!

Brock Lesnar and Bray Wyatt in the same ring were always a sight to see, however, The Fiend vs. The Beast will blow the roof off at present. Considering WWE's nonstop struggle for good TV ratings, it wouldn't be surprising if WWE decides to cash-in on this big-money feud for WrestleMania 36.

Bray Wyatt's sinister alter-ego, The Fiend, has taken pro-wrestling by storm. He is WWE's best bet to carry the color and drama of the art alive into the next decade. Wyatt also, presently, is possibly the only superstar who'd start as a favorite against Lesnar. Nobody but Wyatt can make Lesnar the underdog. And it is this aura of invincibility about these two characters that makes this feud an iconic prospect.

Though the two superstars lead different brands, WWE has never let that become a hindrance to storytelling. So, Wyatt can easily attack Lesnar, taking him out for some time to build the foundation for a WrestleMania-worthy rivalry.

#1 Andrade

Andrade is a surprising choice for this list, isn't he? Hear me out, and it'd make sense.

We know that people in power' backstage in WWE think highly of the charming Mexican star. Yet, for some reason, Andrade hasn't been able to get a breakthrough on his path towards the top. Despite some outstanding performances inside the ring, he has failed to solidify himself as a top-star.

Most recently, on the November 18th episode of Raw, he fought Seth Rollins valiantly, looking unbeatable until the Lucha House Party caused interference to stop the match. While the match was another example of how big a potential star Andrade is, El Idolo has already shown enough of his A-game inside the ring. Andrade had an amazing series of matches with a fellow luchador earlier this year. The star was none other than the 'Master of the 619' Rey Mysterio.

Mysterio and Andrade stole shows together, and Andrade earned Mysterio's respect. Now, it wouldn't be far off if Andrade interfered for his countryman out of respect. It'd not only give Andrade a main event feud but also give Heyman a chance to create a potential blockbuster star. Survivor Series is an opportunity for a start.

If this writer could book matches in WWE, he'd book Andrade to show up against Lesnar at Survivor Series. What do you think?
