#1 Should face: Sting
While discussing dream matches, Sting versus The Undertaker is one of the first pairings that rolls off of the tongue fof just about every wrestling fan, and it could turn into a reality at WrestleMania 36. Since Sting didn't get a proper farewell before hanging up his boots, a match against The Undertaker could be a perfect way to bid farewell to his glorious wrestling career, which had lasted over three decades.
Known as The Icon in WCW and TNA, Sting wound up having a short-lived career in WWE. He arrived in 2014 and had his first match 4 months later against Triple H at WrestleMania 31. He would only go on to have 3 more matches in WWE, as he suffered a career-threatening injury at Clash of Champions in 2015, less than one year after his initial appearance at the previous year's Survivor Series. Even though it has been well over 4 years since he has stepped inside the ring, a recent report suggests that Sting is cleared to wrestle, which raises the possibility of a dream match between The Phenom and The Icon at the Showcase of the Immortals.
Neither Undertaker nor Sting are in the prime of careers -- far from it, as a matter of fact -- but the fans would love to see this fantasy match become a reality. The build-up would be very interesting, considering Undertaker and Sting are the two greatest dark characters in professional wrestling. While The Undertaker hasn't weighed in on the matter, Sting has made it clear that he wants to match, and it's certainly possible that he could be one of The Undertaker's last opponents before The Phenom retires. WrestleMania is definitely the time and place to do it, and it may very well be their last chance.
