#3: Deserved it: Austin Aries
When WWE released Austin Aries in 2017, it came as a shock to many.
Aries had been a key part of the Cruiserweight division, with his WrestleMania 33 pre-show bout against champion Neville being one of the best matches of the night. One person who wasn't surprised by Aries' exit, was Aries himself, who has admitted that he deserved to be fired from the company.
It's not that Aries was a bad wrestler (far from it!), but much like Neville, the self-proclaimed 'Greatest man who ever Lived' didn't enjoy being a part of 205 Live and dreamed of bigger things.
This made Aries difficult to work with, and given problems backstage and Aries not wanting to be a part of the purple brand to begin with, sending the former TNA World Champion packing was probably for the best.
