#2 Shinsuke Nakamura

Shinsuke Nakamura's career has not been remarkable on the main roster. Currently, he is part of Smackdown Live where he is competing for the US title. Considering Nakamura's stature, his run has been disappointing in the last couple of months.
Nakamura was the hottest name in Japan when WWE signed him in 2016. As a matter of fact, Nakamura is a veteran in the squared circle and he has been wrestling for 17 years. He attained plenty of success in NXT where he produced some memorable matches. Nakamura won the NXT title twice, and he became the first ever two-time NXT champion.

Subsequently, he continued the imposing run after main roster debut, as he won the Royal Rumble match last year. However, the impressive run halted after he lost the bout against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 34.
Though Nakamura held the US title, the title reign was bland. In all honesty, he has lost the main event status, and WWE doesn't seem to have a big plan with the King of Strong Style.
