The Shield seems to be the most likely contenders

Seth Rollins is the Intercontinental Champion while Roman Reigns is the Universal Champion. Dean Ambrose recently returned from an injury to make The Shield complete. Now it’s very possible that the WWE would want to put the gold around The Lunatic Fringe’s waist too.

The Shield is currently involved in a bitter rivalry with the current tag team champions and Braun Strowman. If the rivalry continues for the months to come, it is highly likely that Rollins and Ambrose will get their chance to dethrone Ziggler and McIntyre before or after the WWE Super Show-Down.

Since all the men are already involved in a storyline, it seems like The Shield will be the ones who will take the championship away from Ziggler and McIntyre. Without a doubt, this could result in some of the best matches of 2018.
