3 things fans learned from this week's WWE episodes (26 and 27 November 2018)

SmackDown was decent as usual
SmackDown was decent as usual

This week's WWE Raw was below par, with some fans going as far as saying that this was the worst episode of Raw in recent history, but I disagree on that because I have seen Sami Zayn making fun of three men dressed as Bobby Lashley's sisters.

SmackDown on the other hand, was decent as usual, as we got to see some good promos from Becky and AJ Styles, followed by an amazing match between The Bar and The Usos.

Each week, we get to know about the next steps in the different storylines, and this week WWE didn't disappoint in that regard, as feuds were building-up for the TLC pay-per-view. This week we focus on Raw (November 26) and SmackDown (November 27).

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

#1 Alexa Bliss is not returning as a wrestler any time soon

At Survivor Series, she captained Team Raw's women team
At Survivor Series, she captained Team Raw's women team

Alexa Bliss last wrestled in a televised match at Hell in a Cell against Ronda Rousey. Since then we have mostly seen her as an NPC helping alongside her kayfabe best friends Mickie James and Alicia Fox, due to a concussion issue.

At Survivor Series, she captained Team Raw's Women's tag team, but did not wrestle herself. There were reports surfacing last week that Bliss may retire as a full-time wrestler and take the role of Raw's General Manager, just like Paige did earlier this year due to injury.

Even though that may not be confirmed as yet, WWE very subtly hinted that Bliss may not return as a wrestler anytime soon.

Alexa Bliss was assigned to oversee the entire women's division by Baron Corbin this week on Raw, which tells us that her injury is more serious than previously speculated, and that is why she is being kept away from the ring, and has been assigned an authority role for the foreseeable future.

I don't think Alexa's career is very much in danger because WWE does take this types of precautions with concussion issues, and besides her strength as a heel was with the mic, and we are still going to see her cutting those promos regularly.

#2 The United States Championship will finally have a decent feud after a long time

The President of Nakamerica vs The Bulgarian Brute
The President of Nakamerica vs The Bulgarian Brute

Since Shinsuke Nakamura won the United States Championship from Jeff Hardy at Extremes Rules earlier this year, the belt has not seen a proper feud. He had just been using the belt as a prop, carrying it around whenever he makes his occasional appearance on TV.

Since SummerSlam, the championship has not been defended on any pay-per-view with a proper storyline. There were some occasional matches against Tye Dillinger and Rey Mysterio, but those were below par, and were only done to let fans know that the United States Championship still exists.

This week on SmackDown, a match was scheduled between Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura, but even before the match started, the President of Nakamerica attacked The Bulgarian Brute from behind, which resulted in Rusev not being able to compete in the match further.

This type of messy finishes is common and over-used in WWE, but this time it could be given the green signal because finally the storyline between them could proceed further, and we can finally see the championship being treated with deference, as Nakamura now has to defend it on a regular basis.

#3 WWE will continue to not care about the secondary storylines of the women's roster

he secondary storyline is going nowhere, and basically seems illogical
The secondary storyline is going nowhere, and basically seems illogical

While the main storylines for the women's division are currently the talk of the town with Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey at the helm, unfortunately same cannot be said about the secondary storylines.

The company likes to have two storylines at one time for the women's division of each brand. One with the championships, and one with a personal feud, but they have not been able to follow up on it for quite some time now.

The championship feuds are engaging and decent, especially SmackDown's, as we are going to see a triple threat match with Becky, Asuka, and Charlotte. But the secondary storyline is going nowhere, and basically seems illogical.

On Raw, Mickie James, Alicia Fox and Dana Brooke attacked Banks and Bayley for no apparent reason. Before the duo were having a feud with the Riott Squad, and now they are being attacked randomly just because James and Alicia are heels, and they are babyfaces.

There is no continuity on SmackDown as well, because till last week WWE was teasing a break-up between Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose, but this week we saw Mandy helping Sonya to win the battle-royal match by trying to eliminate Asuka.

Plans in WWE keep on changing every now and then, but it seems like there are no definite plans for moving the women's storyline forward with ease. This just confuses the fans, and makes it hard to care for wrestlers like Alicia Fox, Sonya Deville, Lana, Naomi, Riott Squad, and Mickie James.
