Raquel Rodriguez has been out for several months now, as she has been dealing with some health issues. The star was last seen in the ring in February at Elimination Chamber: Perth this year, where she took part in the women's elimination chamber match, before going on a hiatus again.

The former tag team champion took to social media and revealed that she has been battling a health issue named mast cell activation syndrome.

"Basically, I was red, [and] swollen. It was a lot happening in this area physically. It kept me from doing the things that I love," Raquel Rodriguez said on a video on her Instagram account.

However, it appears that she is getting closer to her comeback and WWE officials believe that she could return sooner than later. With that in mind, we take a look at three things she has to do when she comes back to the ring.

#3. Teaming up with Braun Strowman

It is unclear if the WWE creative team has any plans for this, but it would make sense to have Raquel Rodriguez teaming up with Braun Strowman. The two have been rumored to be together in real life, though their current situation is not known.

It could happen either as part of a Mixed Tag Team Match or Raquel could come to the aid of her partner and back him up if he challenges Finn Balor and JD McDonagh for the tag team titles since Braun Strowman has unfinished business with The Judgment Day.

"You never know. I don't know who we would ever wrestle if you put the two of us together. The biggest, baddest female on the roster with the biggest, baddest male. There's not much competition. I would love to get in there and get an opportunity... I couldn't be more proud of her. So, absolutely, I'd love to get in the ring with her," Strowman told Riju Dasgupta of SportsKeeda Wrestling [3:18 – 3:41].

#2. Reunite with Liv Morgan and challenge for the Women's Tag Team titles

Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez had a successful stint as the Women's Tag Team Champions, but Morgan's injury, which sidelined her for several months, ended their title reign.

Fast forward to today, Liv is the reigning Women's World Champion, but a Raquel Rodriguez return could set the tone for a reunion with Morgan and a title match against reigning tag team champions, Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre, in one of the coming premium live events.

#1. Going after Rhea Ripley

Raquel Rodriguez and Rhea Ripley had a feud a year ago when Ripley was still the Women's World Champion and Rodriguez attempted to dethrone her. The two collided at Payback and Crown Jewel as well as on the September 11, 2023, episode of Monday Night RAW, but Raquel lost all three matches.

Thus, we could see her go after The Eradicator once she is back, which would make sense since Rhea is in a mega-feud with Liv Morgan already. Raquel Rodriguez could come to the aid of Morgan and try to protect her from Rhea's revenge.

Another scenario could see her come back and target Rhea Ripley only to kick her out of the competition and emerge as a title contender to Liv Morgan's Women's World Championship.

That said, we should be waiting to see what plans WWE has for the former champion, as she is getting closer to her potential return.
