The January 6 edition of Monday Night RAW will be monumental for WWE as it will mark the brand's debut on Netflix. The Stamford-based promotion has advertised popular names like John Cena and Travis Scott for the show, while matches like Roman Reigns vs Solo Sikoa and Seth Rollins vs CM Punk have also been booked.
Along with these exciting appearances and matches, it's been rumored that The Rocktoo be a part of RAW's premiere on Netflix. This has led to speculations about Stone Cold Steve Austin potentially making an appearance on January 6 also.
In this article, we will take a look at three things Steve Austin could do if he appears on RAW's Netflix premiere:
Top WWE star blasted, compared to Winnie the Pooh RIGHT HERE
#3. Stone Cold Steve Austin could teach Gunther a lesson on WWE RAW
In the last few months, World Heavyweight Champion Gunther has disrespected WWE legends like Bret Hart and Goldberg. The interesting part is that until now, Gunther has not had to face any repercussions for the way he insulted these Hall of Famers on RAW and Bad Blood, respectively.
However, if Stone Cold Steve Austin ends up returning on January 6, he could confront Gunther. Austin could let the Austrian know that he did not appreciate his behavior and potentially hit him with his iconic Stone Cold Stunner to draw an epic reaction from the crowd in attendance.
#2. Involve himself in a segment with John Cena
John Cena's appearance on Monday Night RAW's debut on Netflix is no ordinary matter. This would mark the beginning of Cena's Farewell Tour. Hence, Triple H and WWE will do everything in their power to make the 47-year-old's last run with the company as grand as possible.
One way the promotion can do so is by booking Cena to share the ring with Steve Austin. The two could cut a promo where they are friendly with each other, or something can be done where Austin hits Cena with a Stunner, leading to the latter turning heel for the first time in his career.
#1. Support Roman Reigns and the OG Bloodline
Apart from having a solid team by his side, the distinct advantage Solo Sikoa has is that he possibly has The Rock by his side. Many believe when The Final Boss returns to the promotion, he will end up taking control of The Bloodline to lead the faction to further glory.
If that happens, then WWE can ensure that Roman Reigns and the OG Bloodline also have a legend supporting them, and that could be Steve Austin. Due to The Rock and Austin's rivalry back in the day, a potential segment involving the two superstars from the Attitude Era would work well.
