We're on the verge of Survivor Series 2019, and fans are beginning to feel excited about the event. This year's edition of the PPV will feature NXT as part of the battle along with RAW and SmackDown. The build-up has been intense and has featured several invasions for the last few weeks.
Surprisingly NXT have looked stronger than their competitors, and this has lead fans to believe that they will be the big losers at the PPV. It will be interesting to see how WWE structures the two elimination matches that will have fifteen wrestlers each.
With that said, WWE should do a few things at the show that will increase the quality and entertain the fans. In this article, I will explore three such things that should happen at Survivor Series 2019.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
#3. NXT wins the war
As said before, this will be the first time that NXT is involved in the war for brand supremacy at Survivor Series. That presents a unique situation to WWE and makes things a bit harder. Since three brands are involved, it is easy for one of them to get completely outshined by the rest, and that is not the best-case scenario.
It's also interesting to think about which brand will win this war. Each decision has its pros and cons, but the most sensible thing to do is to have NXT come out as victors. Though they have a lot of viewers, this is their first exposure to many fans who only watch the main roster.
Therefore, if they come up short at the PPV, it may not help them. A win would bring even more eyes to their product and help them in their battle against AEW. While they should win, RAW and SmackDown must not be swept aside and should manage to shine as well.
It's in WWE's hands to make sure each brand can look great and give the best possible product.
#2. Women's triple threat main events the show
The PPV will feature a match between Becky Lynch, Shayna Baszler, and Bayley in a battle of three champions. This match has had a pretty good build-up so far with all three women looking strong. Though some people believe that Bayley will only be a sideshow, there are chances that she might even win the match.
Coming to the placement of the match on the card, it would be great if it closed out the show. First, it features three great women who have proven to deserve such a spot. Becky is probably the most popular women's wrestler in the world, Shayna has been the most dominant NXT Women's Champion, and Bayley turned heel recently.
Therefore, it's not hard to see that they have a ton of momentum right now. Second, WWE should have women main-event PPV's from time to time until it becomes the norm. It will be a part of showing the world that they trust the women as much as they trust the men to close the show. So, let's hope that this match is the main event of Survivor Series.
#1. CM Punk shows up
Something that took the wrestling world by storm was the recent return of CM Punk on WWE Backstage. Though he didn't return to RAW or SmackDown, it still felt special to see him after six years. It got the people talking about the various possibilities that it could lead to in the upcoming few months.
While some people believe he will never return to the ring, some think it's only a matter of time before he does. We may very well see it happen at this weekend's Survivor Series PPV. It's worth noting that the show is being in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois, and it would be poetic in a way if he shows up.
It may not be as surprising anymore, but it's guaranteed to get one of the loudest pops ever. Imagine if Brock Lesnar defeats Rey Mysterio and stands tall, before being interrupted by Punk. It would be an awesome moment, and his return will shake things up in WWE.
