I am doubting the existence of a championship belt called the US Title. Ever since becoming the US Champion, Nakamura hasn't faced anybody in the last three weeks. This is really poor storytelling by SmackDown Live which has failed to bring the US Title into the main frame of the show.

Nakamura has been underwhelming so far. After winning the Royal Rumble, Nakamura had successive defeats at the hands of AJ Styles for the WWE Championship. Nakamura has fallen to lower-middle card since then, and the US Title seems to be the only way to make him bounce back as a main-event superstar.
