The year started with Asuka as the dominant force and a catchphrase which read that 'Nobody is ready for Asuka,' and the entire WWE Universe was behind the 'Empress Of Tomorrow.'
At Wrestlemania, the entire storyline and hype went down the drain as Asuka lost to Charlotte Flair and not only ended her undefeated streak but also her rising career. Since then the Empress has seen bad days in terms of losing more often and also being a part of some weird storylines.
It looked like Asuka will have the lacklustre run going on until the WWE decided to revive her career and that happened when Asuka won the Women's, Battle Royal. Due to the win, she was added to the one on one competition between Charlotte Flair and 'The Man' Becky Lynch at WWE TLC. This added a layer of uncertainty and also raised the stakes of the match this Sunday.
The way the show concluded on Tuesday Nights, it seems like Asuka is going to win, but we haven't often seen the last man standing during the go-home show win at the main pay-per-view.
According to rumours, Becky Lynch is set to go into a storyline with Ronda Rousey after Royal Rumble, and Charlotte Flair will revive her feud with Asuka from last year's Wrestlemania, so it is a huge possibility that Asuka will win the title at WWE TLC.
