2. Forgetting the departed legends of SmackDown
Wrestling superstars, despite their incredible charisma and in-ring talent, are still mortal and all mortals die. However, a person is only truly dead when people no longer mention their name or remember their actions. Eddie Guerrero, Umaga, and Chris Benoit were three of SmackDown's biggest stars, and they sadly died while in the peak of their careers. While fans constantly remember Eddie and Umaga all around the world, Chris Benoit became something of a pariah.
They all contributed in one way or another to raise the profile of SmackDown particularly Eddie Guerrero who helped make the Lucha Libre style even more popular in the WWE. Chris Benoit was a technical master who raised the profile of every wrestler he fought with, and Umaga had the potential to become one of the greatest big men in the company. During SmackDown 1000, the company should make a conscious effort to honour the memory of these stars. If they don't, it might seem like they are ignoring their contribution to the company.
