1. Nostalgia over present-day storylines
In celebrating the 1000th episode of SmackDown the WWE creative team will obviously rely on nostalgia to draw the fans in. With the return of Evolution and Undertaker on the cards, the show seems like it will be a little nostalgia-heavy. Although nostalgia has its place in the wrestling industry, it shouldn't come at the expense of on-going storylines. One of the storylines that may be put on the backburner is Aiden English and One Night in Milwaukee.
With fans already greatly invested in the storylines, it will be a disservice to them to ignore those storylines for nostalgia. The best bet for the WWE at this point would be to integrate the legends into the ongoing storylines.
Torie Wilson would be a good addition to the Aiden English storyline giving it a bit of the edge it lacks in this PG era. Since it has been confirmed that Vickie Guerrero will be at SmackDown 1000, she can get involved in a power struggle with Paige.
