By now, it is clear that CM Punk will not hold back while sharing his opinions about WWE's ongoing storylines. While he might be expected to not rub WWE Creative in the wrong way, WWE should be equally responsible in their response to the criticism offered by a former employee.
As part of the talk show, Punk will certainly talk about things from his perspective. That is the only way to convince the audience that they are being exposed to the genuine opinions of someone they respect.
It would be ideal for WWE to use this opportunity to bring in more viewers to the Backstage program. At the same time, they must acknowledge that Punk’s deal is with the channel and not the promotion. Therefore, he shouldn’t face the ‘consequences’ of his words later.
Before WWE plan on involving Punk in any of their crossfires, they must ensure that none of the people involved are kept in the dark.
