CM Punk’s involvement in the WWE Backstage program hints at his possible return to the ring. Although there’s a long way to go, WWE can certainly start building up for arguably the most eagerly anticipated return in the company’s history.
Punk doesn’t have a clean slate and whatever’s written on it is not worth reading once again. So, if and when he returns, it should be orchestrated in the best possible scenario.
The last time we saw a talk show disagreement blow up, it was The Miz who delivered the best promo of his WWE career and hinted at a feud with Daniel Bryan. Unfortunately, we are still waiting for that to pan out.
WWE has the opportunity to once again create a similar storyline that can conveniently bring Punk inside the squared circle for a fight. It would only be natural for a top WWE Superstar to take offense to Punk’s comments. Following that, his urge to settle the score with Punk will pave the way for the latter’s comeback.
