CM Punk has made it clear that the only thing that can make him return to the ring is money. Considering WWE’s recent history, paying big bucks for limited appearances is certainly not a problem for the promotion.
WWE will have to work out some issues before they manage to get CM Punk back on the roster including hefty payments. However, all these efforts will account for nothing, if Punk is booked in poor storylines.
When I bring up poor storylines, I don’t necessarily mean boring narrations. I also mean storylines that will unnecessarily take a shot at the actions of the past. There shouldn’t be moments that show the company’s resentment towards Punk.
They say that you need both your hands to clap. If Punk is expected to be professional, then WWE should take equal responsibility in resolving their differences and making the best use of their given chance.
