Finn Balor initially did not get the superstardom which he got after becoming Prince Devitt. He got sidelined and was demotivated to NJPW’s sister affiliate Wrestle Land. His gimmick was changed, and he became a masked wrestler The Pegasus Kid. Balor's gimmick was surprisingly made famous by Chirs Benoit. The submission specialist used to be a top wrestler in Japan before finally reaching superstardom in North America. Balor used Benoit’s original gimmick for more than a year.
