A lot is happening on WWE SmackDown en route to Crown Jewel. Although most of the action is centered around The Bloodline's storyline, other teams in the tag team division may be experiencing some miscommunications as well.

Last week on WWE SmackDown, an exciting triple-threat tag team match between DIY, The Street Profits, and Pretty Deadly occurred. Towards the end, Montez Ford and Johnny Gargano each pinned a different member of Pretty Deadly. However, since DIY was the legal team at the time, they were declared the winners. While The Street Profits are surely unhappy with the results, Ford's emotions might be more heightened and can even result in a change of character tonight.

After winning last week, DIY will now go head-to-head against Motor City Machine Guns to determine The Bloodline's next challenger for the Tag Team Championship. However, another presence that can be felt during the bout is Montez Ford, who can attack Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa's team to cost them the match.

Fans have been clamoring for Ford to have a singles run for a while. Since he already has fans' support, turning heel can even give the star a breath of fresh air.

Meanwhile, Angelo Dawkins can be shocked and unaware of what happened. He can act as if he is not on board with what his partner has done, but eventually join him in the end, much like what Indi Hartwell did when Candice LeRae turned heel.

Were The Street Profits happy with DIY's win on WWE SmackDown last week?

Ford and Dawkins haven't had a chance to hold the gold for a while in the Stamford-based promotion, and last week was supposed to be their chance to change it. However, due to the nature of their loss, they weren't too happy with DIY's win.

After SmackDown last week, the one-time NXT Tag Team Champions expressed their thoughts on the finish of the match. Ford stated that he and Dawkins couldn't accept the loss and considered themselves the winner of the match.

"Ask somebody else. Ask somebody else what happened... You don't gotta ask them, ask us, we know what happened. I'm not gonna sit here and just let these people just waltz up in here and say that they won the match, when I was clearly the winner... Hit our tag team finishing move, laid them down... 1-2-3. How many times do I need to explain it to them?"

It'll be interesting to see what the future holds for The Street Profits on WWE SmackDown.
