It is not common for WWE fans to see a ring break in a match. It has happened a few times in matches that featured giants, like The Big Show, Mark Henry, and Braun Strowman.
On Monday, it was the first time since 2017 that a ring broke on RAW. The incident happened early in the match, when the Monster Among Men sent Bronson Reed to the turnbuckle.
It was such a powerful move that the ring essentially broke, however it didn't stop the two superstars from fighting each other.
Their brawl continued at ringside and backstage, with The Monster Among Men eventually delivering a spear to Reed through a wall.

That said, we take a look at three times WWE stars broke the ring, with The Big Show featuring in all three occasions.
#3. The Big Show vs Brock Lesnar
It first happened back in 2003 on SmackDown, when The Beast Incarnate delivered a Superplex off the top rope to the Big Show. As a result, the ring broke and the match ended in no contest.
"That Big Show vs. Brock Lesnar was cool. Michael Hayes, everybody, Pat Patterson, the thing on that match they wanted me to do was to sell the collapse of the ring. And the way I did it, which I don’t know what I did, I just did what I had to do because it was actually pretty cool. I have never been in the ring which is collapsing before. It’s just like, when they take the bump out of the corner, the ring collapses," former WWE referee Mike Chioda once told Chris Van Vliet.
#2. The Big Show vs Mark Henry
Back in 2011, Mark Henry defended the World Heavyweight Championship against The Big Show on SmackDown.
The World's Strongest Man and The Big Show left everything in the ring, but the match ended in no contest. The reason was that Henry Superplexed his opponent from the top rope and broke the ring.
The two superstars needed help to leave the ring, while WWE staff couldn't fix the issue, as this was not the main event of the show and SmackDown continued with the ring being broken.
#1. The Big Show vs Braun Strowman
In all three times that a WWE ring has collapsed, it was The Big Show that had been Superplexed off the top rope. That was once again the case on an episode of RAW back in 2017, when Braun Strowman collided with The Big Show.
Strowman delivered the Superplex, the ring collapsed and the match ended in no contest. Both stars needed help to leave the ring, as they had created another highlight moment in WWE.
Since then, years passed until we saw a ring collapsing again, when something similar to this week's incident took place at the 2021 Extreme Rules PLE in the main event between Roman Reigns and Finn Balor.
What remains to be seen now is the condition of Braun Strowman and Bronson Reed after what happened this week on RAW. In addition, it is unclear if the two will have a rematch on RAW next week or at WWE Bad Blood in early October. Both stars were fined following this week's show.
