3 Times WWE Superstars defended their titles in different matches on the same night

#1 Triple H - No Mercy 2007

Triple H had 3 matches for the WWE Championship at No Mercy 2007!

Now before you guys get confused, only one title is involved here unlike the previous ones, but both the title defenses were proper separate matches.

No Mercy 2007 was a busy night for the WWE Championship, as it was defended 3 times throughout the course of the night, also changing hands as many times. The night started with Vince McMahon awarding Randy Orton the WWE Championship due to John Cena's injury.

Triple H came out, leading to him challenging Orton for the title, which became the opening match, resulting in Triple H winning the title. Later, HHH defended the title against his previously advertised opponent Umaga, winning it in the process. Even after not being 100% physically, Vince McMahon announced yet another title defense for Hunter as Orton invoked his rematch clause for the title in the main event of the evening in a Last Man Standing match.

The night ended with Orton winning his 2nd Championship of the night, and Triple H having a trifecta of matches for the title- once winning, once defending, and then finally losing the title on the same night.
