The reigning NXT North American champion had the odds stacked against him going into this match. Not only was he going to face Adam Cole, a man he took the title away from in Brooklyn, but also one of the longest raining current champions in the WWE, Pete Dunne. Even Scott Steiner would agree that the odds of Ricochet picking up the victory against those two were against him.
