When CM Punk returned to WWE at Survivor Series 2023, the majority of the WWE Universe was happy to see him back. However, the one prominent name that was on the minority side was Seth Rollins. Even today, Rollins' hate for Punk remains intact and vice-versa. This is a major reason they are involved in a rivalry.
On January 6, Punk and Rollins are booked to face each other on RAW's debut on Netflix. While the match between these two professionals is a WrestleMania-worthy spectacle, Triple H has yet to announce a stipulation for it.
In this article, we will look at three unique match stipulations The Game can book for the upcoming bout between Punk and Rollins.
#3. CM Punk and Seth Rollins can brawl in a Chicago Street Fight
When one thinks of CM Punk, it's hard not to think of Chicago. On the upcoming episodes of RAW before January 6, WWE can present an angle in which Punk is seen challenging Rollins to a Chicago Street Fight. Since Rollins is itching to get his hands on Punk, he will have no choice but to accept.
However, it must be noted that if this match is booked, Punk will most likely have an advantage given he had beaten Chris Jericho in a Chicago Street Fight at Extreme Rules in 2012. Still, Rollins' chances, even in a potential Chicago Street Fight, can't be undermined.
#2. Mixed Tag Team match
Earlier, it was speculated that CM Punk vs Seth Rollins was being planned for WrestleMania 41. But WWE somehow scrapped those plans and booked a match between Punk and Rollins way in advance. However, if the promotion still wants them to face each other at WrestleMania, it can happen.
The promotion can achieve this by booking a Mixed Tag Team match between Punk and Rollins for January 6. While Punk can team up with former WWE Superstar AJ Lee, Rollins could bring about the return of Becky Lynch.
#1. Hell in a Cell match
Since returning to WWE, CM Punk's best match came in a Hell in a Cell when he beat Drew McIntyre at Bad Blood in October this year. Rollins also thrives when it comes to Hell in a Cell matches. Given that both of them have performed well in this match type, it would make sense for them to fight this way.
The last time Punk was involved in a Hell in a Cell match with McIntyre, he made sure to do everything in his power to make the match a blockbuster event. If The Second City Saint can replicate the same in a potential Hell in a Cell match against Rollins, it might go down as one of the best matches that night.
