Following the debuts of Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu, it was reported that the WWE signed former NJPW star Hikuleo. Many fans expected him to be included in the Solo Sikoa-led Bloodline.

For those unaware, Hikuleo is the sibling of Tama Tonga and the adoptive brother of Tonga Loa. They have worked together in Japan as part of the Bullet Club and Guerrillas of Destiny. The 33-year-old left NJPW earlier this year and now reportedly signed with WWE.

Hence, it was only obvious for fans to expect Hikuleo to make his debut with The Bloodline on SmackDown. These expectations were further fueled when the Stamford-based promotion filed a trademark for Talla Tonga. However, it seems like the former NJPW star won't be part of the Solo Sikoa-led faction anytime soon.

According to PWInsider, Hikuleo has been added to the NXT roster internally. In this article, we will look at three ways the former IWGP Tag Team Champion can make his debut on the developmental brand:

#3. Hikuleo can introduce himself to the WWE Universe with a promo on NXT

Since making his professional wrestling debut in 2016, Hikuleo has spent his whole career wrestling in Japan. While the 33-year-old achieved many accolades like winning the Strong Openweight Championship and the IWGP Tag Team Championship, to name a few, it can be said not everyone in the WWE Universe knows who he is.

To address the same, Hikuleo can begin by cutting a promo on the developmental brand and introducing himself. The rumored new WWE signee can talk about his family's legacy in wrestling and about his achievements in Japan and put the NXT roster on notice.

#2. Hikuleo could attack the NXT Tag Team Champions

On the September 10th edition of NXT, Nathan Frazer and Axiom defended the NXT Tag Team Championship against The Street Profits. However, this title defense witnessed unexpected interference from The Bloodline, who took out both teams.

This interference was not appreciated by Nathan Frazer, who said after the match that he would support The Tribal Chief but the Original One. Since Hikuleo is related Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa, he could attack Frazer and Axiom and send them a strong message.

#1. Hikuleo can be the next contender for the NXT Championship

On October 1, NXT will be live from Chicago as the developmental brand is set to debut on The CW Network. This episode of white-and-gold brand will witness NXT Champion Ethan Page defend his belt against Trick Williams. While the match is already exciting, WWE could add more excitement by booking Hikuleo to appear.

The 33-year-old could appear to confront the winner of the match, thus expressing an interest in the NXT Championship. In a way, his NXT debut could be similar to Giulia's debut at NXT No Mercy in early September. Also, due to Hikuleo's experience and size, it would be fun to see him fight someone like Page or Williams.
