#1 It's a great set-up for a debut/return
If there's one thing Survivor Series is known for, it's for the debut of new wrestlers. The Rock, The Undertaker, The Shield... probably some other guys whose names begin with "The", I dunno... all of them made their first appearances during WWE's Thanksgiving tradition.
Now consider that, NXT's men's team has yet to be announced and b) some of their top guys (Keith Lee, Tomasso Ciampa, etc.) are in probably in no condition to perform (in both kayfabe and real life, let's be honest here), it's a great opportunity to debut someone new to the NXT roster.
There was a pretty strong rumor going around that John Morrison was going to be the final member of Team Ciampa tonight and... well, no. But, if he's signed a new deal with WWE, Survivor Series would be an opportune time to have him make his long-awaited return to the company. Considering that WWE's version of ECW was kinda sorta like what NXT is now, except not as good and really weird because it was on SyFy and they had to do a bunch of weird science fiction/horror type stuff there and, man, don't get me started.... where was I?
Anyway, that's where John Morrison got his big start for his singles run (winning the SyF... I mean... ECW Championship), it would be appropriate for him to make his return to WWE via being a surprise member of team NXT.
Finally, there's plenty of folks in the WWE Performance Center waiting to make their big debut. WWE could simply say that most of the NXT roster is battered and bruised and so Team NXT is pulling the best and brightest from the PC to help them win.
But, what do you think? Could we see some big debuts/returns at Survivor Series on Sunday? Let us know in the comments section right down there. Just scroll down. You'll find it.
