JBL's Mania moment didn't turn out the way he had planned
By the time WrestleMania's 25th Anniversary loomed closer, the WWE Universe had grown tired of JBL's antics. His behaviour towards the future hall of famer, Shawn Michaels had pissed off the fans to the core. JBL secured an Intercontinental title match at the grandest stage of them all, against Rey Mysterio.

Heading into the event, JBL had promised an unforgettable WrestleMania moment to the fans. He began working on the promise by attacking Rey even before the bell rang. As soon as the referee called for the match to begin, Rey regained his composure and went on to win the match in less than a minute.

JBL stayed true to his promise, as the fans got a Mania moment to remember. After the match, he grabbed a microphone and screamed "I quit" at the top of his lungs.

The fans erupted in a chant of "Na Na Na Na, Hey Hey Hey, Goodbye", as JBL left WWE in a way he hadn't expected one bit.
