Considering Scott Steiner joined up with WWE during the time period where Triple H's run was at its peak, it's not hard to understand why things went sour extremely quickly between the two titans.

Although Triple H may have been slightly difficult to work with back in the day, Scott Steiner was just the same if not worse, thus creating a "recipe for disaster" so to speak. Scott Steiner and Hunter's feud in 2003 was far from being great, and it further compounded their disdain for one another.

Steiner would end up getting released from the WWE in August 2004, and he's been at Triple H's throat ever since with his constant rants not only directed towards Triple H, but Hunter's wife Stephanie McMahon and father-in-law Vince as well.
