Throughout WWE history, Vince McMahon has attempted to make "Superstars" out of talent most fans saw little in, and Alberto Del Rio definitely classifies as one of those said wrestlers... Despite being an extremely technically-sound wrestler between the ropes, Alberto severely lacked in the other departments which either "make or break" a top level star in WWE -- charisma, promo ability, and just that overall star quality. Regardless, Alberto was pushed to the moon and back during his run in WWE, and Del Rio can boast that he captured the companies World Championship on four occasions.

However, since leaving the company, Alberto has been quickly forgotten about. So the question begs, why should the WWE stay away from bringing the former World Champion back? Well for one thing, Alberto is certainly not a model company employee, as the controversial wrestler seems to get involved in troublesome situations regularly, not to mention the fact that Del Rio is a costly addition to the roster even though he would not be well received by fans as a top star, hence why the company would be shelling out millions of dollars for a fairly bland midcarder.
