The Authors of Pain are yet to be involved in any solid storyline on the Raw roster

When Stephanie McMahon ordered the acting General Manager of Raw Baron Corbin to choose 2 partners to take on The Shield, the fans had no idea that it would turn out to be the duo of Rezar and Akam. Though it may sound interesting in hindsight, it may hurt WWE in the long run.

The Authors of Pain have not been yet involved in any major storyline, thus pushing them in the main event is not apt. They were generating some momentum in the last two weeks, but have ended up on the losing side. This week on Raw might have destroyed all their momentum and credibility.
