WWE legends Triple H and Shawn Michaels were involved in the 1996 incident The Curtain Call. While this moment isn't a big deal now and has even caused some positive reactions from fans, it wasn't remembered fondly by their fellow wrestling legends.

On May 19, 1996, during a WWE House Show in Madison Square Garden, The Kliq, a group composed of Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall, broke kayfabe as all four men embraced each other inside the ring to close the event. While this is no longer a big deal these days, the wrestling scene was different back then and heels and babyfaces don't interact kindly on camera. As a result of the group's actions, several wrestling names didn't take kindly to the act.

For this list, we will look at three wrestling legends from Netflix's Vince McMahon docuseries Mr. McMahon who were livid about the 1996 Curtain Call incident from Triple H and Shawn Michaels.

#3. WWE Executive Bruce Prichard

It has been well-known that Bruce Prichard is very influential not just to WWE's product, but to Vince McMahon's decisions regarding the company as well. Since he was highly involved in ensuring the product remained intact, it's no wonder why he was upset about what Triple H and Shawn Michaels did.

In the Mr. McMahon docuseries, Bruce stated that from his perspective as an old-timer, it was a violation for rivals to embrace like that in front of the audience, especially as the group back then was heels and faces.

#2. Former WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon

The Game shared on the docuseries that earlier that day, before the house show in MSG occurred, Shawn talked to Vince about doing some sort of tribute to Scott and Kevin before they left WWE for WCW. McMahon agreed that "something can happen" as it was important to Michaels.

However, the former Chairman did not know about the specifics of the moment. Vince shared that when The Kliq went backstage, several performers "hit the roof." Vince then questioned himself if he let himself be talked into it, but he did feel he let it happen and implied that punishment was given, which mainly affected The Game.

#1. Triple H and Shawn Michaels's fellow Hall of Famer The Undertaker

It's unsurprising to know that The Undertaker, who was known to never break out of character when he was still active in WWE, was mad about the 1996 incident.

The Deadman said that while he wasn't there that night, he was already signed with the company. When asked about his thoughts, he answered that he didn't like it. The Hall of Famer added that for years, wrestling built a system where good guys stayed together while bad guys did the same.
