Money in the Bank will take place this Saturday, July 6, in Toronto, and WWE is finalizing the match card. The Men's and Women's Ladder Matches will steal the spotlight, as the respective winners will be guaranteed a title match in the future.
At the same time, Money in the Bank is considered one of WWE's top premium live events. It could see the return of several legends making surprise appearances.
With that in mind, we look at three legends that could appear on Saturday either to have another run with the company or make a one-off appearance.
#3. Rikishi to interfere at Money in the Bank?
Corey Graves deleted his Tweet! More details HERE.
Solo Sikoa took over The Bloodline after WrestleMania 40 and has made drastic changes to the faction. One of them was assaulting and kicking Jimmy Uso out on the first SmackDown after Mania. He has been off WWE TV since then.
Amid hints about a civil war in the Bloodline, we could see Rikishi appear at Money in the Bank to either confront Solo Sikoa backstage or interfere in the Six-Man Tag Team Match featuring Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton against The Bloodline to announce Jimmy Uso's return, who will be back for revenge.
#2. John Cena
Cena was last seen in WWE in early April and recently revealed that his time with the company is ending. He could also appear at Money in the Bank to reveal his future plans with the company while confronting Solo Sikoa, which is also a likely scenario.
It is also likely that John Cena will make a surprise appearance at MITB to start a feud with another superstar, which could lead to a match at Summerslam in early August.
#1. The Rock
The Rock appeared on both nights of WrestleMania 40 and on the RAW after 'Mania to congratulate Cody Rhodes for finishing his story. The Final Boss told the American Nightmare that he would come after him to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion.
Fast-forward to today. There have been reports of the WWE legend appearing at Money in the Bank, but it is unclear what he could do.
One thing is to re-ignite his feud with Cody Rhodes and challenge him to a match at Summerslam. The other thing he could do is interfere in the tag team match that will feature Rhodes and The Bloodline to distract the American Nightmare.
Should he appear in the show, we should expect him to address Solo Sikoa's actions on SmackDown and, more specifically, the assault on Paul Heyman after the latter refused to acknowledge him.
It would be interesting to see whether he acknowledges Solo and approves of his actions or calls him out for attacking The Wiseman.
