#1. Ruined: Sami Zayn

Zayn briefly held the NXT Championship but is title-less on the main roster.

Sami Zayn was one of the Big 5 - a group of huge talents that joined NXT over a limited time.

As part of a group that included Finn Balor, Hideo Itami, Kevin Owens, and Adrian Neville, Zayn was in good company and became one of NXT's most beloved stars.

Eventually winning the NXT Championship in late 2014, Zayn's reign was shockingly short, as he'd lose the gold just two months later to best friend Kevin Owens.

Joining the main roster in 2016, Zayn has still been entertaining, but even his most loyal fans will admit that the Canadian has had little to wow audiences with, except a heel turn nearly two years ago.

Fortunately, Zayn still has time for his luck to turn around and is due to return from injury sooner rather than later.
